Another original plant on our property, our lilac keeps providing wonderful fragrant flowers every spring. Apparently, lilac bushes can live to be 350 years old. I suspect our bush was an original to the farmhouse built in 1845, so it might already be mid-age. Or it was planted in 1939 when the barn was built and other major work done, so it is a youngster still… 81 years old and going strong.
