Motivation: While walking on our farmstead property early this past fall, I was struck by the interplay of the diverse colours and shapes of the leaves and undergrowth, all working together in layers.

Idea: Trying to emulate the play of fall foliage textures through a layered design, a unique depth of images emerged which I was compelled to create as a repeat pattern.
