Using a combination of words and pictures to influence people has been a pretty successful strategy since the world’s first ad agency opened in Philadelphia in 1841. I’m fascinated by how each global society uses advertising to filter its individual cultural flavours and nuances to engage, inform, persuade and inspire its population. And, I’m equally interested in how those methods have changed in 173 years.
